Vietnam War: Operation Commando Hunt initiated. The goal is to interdict men and supplies on the Ho Chi Minh Trail, through Laos into South Vietnam.

11.15.1968

The US Air Force launches Operation Commando Hunt, a large-scale bombing campaign against the Ho Chi Minh trail.

1971

2.8.1971

South Vietnamese ground troops launches an incursion into Laos to try and cut off the Ho Chi Minh trail and stop communist infiltration.
