Workers go on strike at the Hoover dam.

The Hoover Dam, astride the border between the U.S. states of Arizona and Nevada, is dedicated.
1936

The Hoover Dam is completed.

Generators at Boulder Dam (later renamed to Hoover Dam) begin to generate electricity from the Colorado River and transmit it 266 miles to Los Angeles, California.
